Description This course is designed to develop professional skills for leading dives and supporting PADI Instructors in diving situations. It is normally done as an 'internship' where the candidates works in the dive centre.
Minimum Requirements Must pass PADI Medical, and be over 18 years of age and have completed the PADI Rescue Diver course or equivalent. Must hold a first Aid qualification such as the PADI EFR.
Course Content The course has a large number of requirements to develop skills, including skill circuits, fitness tests, rescue assessment, theory exams and knowledge reviews.
Duration and Logistics This course is usually spread over several months as an 'internship', working in the dive centre. It can be done as an intensive course but a minimum of ten days is recommended.

What Next ? Take the PADI Assistant Instructor course and learn professional dive teaching skills, and prepare yourself for a professional career as a PADI Instructor.
Price This will vary from candidate to candidate, and wether it is done as an internship. To take the full course in fifteen days will cost a minimum of €950 . The Divemaster candidate is also recommended by PADI to obtain and read several books and manuals as support materials.
  • To dive in Spain, you must be fit to dive. You will fill in an WRSTC/PADI self-certification medical form and if you reply 'No' to all the questions you need no further checks. If you reply 'Yes' to some of the questions you will need to get a medical check done by a doctor. These can be arranged in Gran Canaria for between €30 and €40.
  • In order to keep the centre free of COVID-19 we insist that all students are free of symptoms and recent contacts. When vaccination roll-out reaches your age-group we expect you to be vaccinated before arrival.
  • Referrals If you have completed part of the course already, we can accept the referral providing you present us with the signed PADI training/referral form. Pricing will depend upon content already completed.
